DRIVELINE SYSTEMS DELIVER THE SHIFTER SYSTEM TO VOLVO CARS CONCEPT COUPE

Kongsberg Automotive (KA) delivers the “crystal shifter system” to Volvo’s latest concept that will be on display at IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) in Frankfurt that opens next week.

It´s a pleasure for KA Driveline to support Volvo Car Corporation with our technology and expertise in Shift by Wire systems (SBW). The crystal piece of the gear knob is supplied from Orrefors, a known name in Scandinavian glass and crystal design, while the rest of the system is supplied by KA

This concept car shows Volvos design profile going forward and KA will be part of it.

This shifter is equipped with state of the art technology; this sets a new standard in terms of safety, weight, compact packaging and styling.
