KONGSBERG AUTOMOTIVE (KA) STRENGTHENS KEY MANAGEMENT POSITIONS

CEO Hans Peter Havdal today announced Niklas Berntsson as Vice President and General Manager for KA in China. Berntsson has been Executive Vice President Purchasing since 2010.

“China is the single most important market in KA’s growth strategy. Niklas will be based in our production hub in Wuxi, where we expect to see significant expansion going forward. With his extensive experience from the automotive industry and across the KA organization, he will be securing and supporting a successful growth for all our business areas in China”, says CEO Hans Peter Havdal.

Havdal also announced Anders Nyström as the new Executive Vice President for Purchasing. Nyström joins KA from Volvo Car Corporation, where he has been Vice President, Direct Material Purchasing since 2008. Prior to his latest position he has also held several leading positions within purchasing in Ford Motor Company and Volvo Car Corporation. Nyström will join KA’s Executive Committee and report to the CEO as of November 1st 2011.
